Church Community Housing Corporation, a Newport County based non-profit dedicated to helping low and moderate income persons in Rhode Island to live in safe, decent, affordable housing and neighborhoods approached A1 Roofing and Construction for help. A local family, on fixed-income, in desperate need of a roof replacement found themselves in a difficult position.
They had saved up for a new roof, however, had to put these funds towards an unexpected emergency. After visiting the Portsmouth home and seeing the conditions, we knew we had to help.
Since this request came through an accredited non-profit organization, A1 reached out to our partners at GAF, North America’s largest roofing manufacturer. Through the GAF Community Contractor program, we were able to team up and provide this family with a new roof over their head. This project speaks volumes to the power of collaboration in supporting our local community.
